New Forest small businesses and entrepreneurs can get free virtual business training in October, thanks to a collaboration between New Forest District Council and other local authorities in Hampshire. The online business course will be provided by the Rebel Business School, aiming to help people looking to take the first steps in turning their business or self-employment ideas into a reality.
The virtual event will take place on Zoom from Monday 18 to Friday 22 October. There will be new daily sessions from 10am to 3pm, covering key business skills including making sales, social media marketing and building websites. Attendees will also learn about business tax, legal issues and how to adapt and be more resilient in difficult times.
The course is for business owners at the beginning of their journeys, already established businesses, and people looking to turn their hobby into a business. The Rebel Business School approach is focused on enabling people to start a business for free, or with very little money, and always without debt.

Local authorities covering New Forest, East Hampshire, Havant and Waverley, have come together to ensure that learning and networking opportunities are available to local entrepreneurs. This collaboration means that the course can be delivered free of charge to all attendees.
