Bin deliveries are nearly complete for residents in Phase 2 (which includes Hale ) of New Forest District Council’s new waste and recycling collection service.

This week, NFDC are continuing to deliver bins to properties that have reported missing items. Households still waiting for bins or caddies should report this as soon as possible at newforest.gov.uk/BinDeliveries so the council can arrange delivery before the first scheduled collection day.

In the unlikely event that bins and caddies have not arrived by the first collection day, residents who have reported a missed delivery can contact New Forest District Council’s customer services team for advice on how to present their waste.

From next week, residents in Phase 2 will use the new waste and recycling collection service which has been designed to increase recycling and reduce the amount of waste sent for incineration. This includes weekly food waste collections, and alternate week collections for recycling and rubbish. The first collection for residents in Phase 2 will be for food waste and recycling.

Residents can check the information in their latest letter sent by NFDC or visit newforest.gov.uk/RecyclingAndRubbish to check their collection day, what goes in which bin, what to do on collection day, and more.

Residents in Phase 2 will have their final sack collection this week (13 to 17 October), before the new service begins from Monday 20 October in their area.

Containers must be placed out by 6am on the day of collection, and ideally not before 6pm the evening before.

Residents can contact NFDC's customer services team by emailing waste.changes@nfdc.gov.uk or calling 023 8028 5393.
