Proclamation of the Accession

Charles III was proclaimed King this morning (Saturday 10 September 2022) at a ceremony at St James's Palace. A public proclamation will be read at Winchester’s Great Hall, on Sunday 11 September 1pm.


Following these principal and county announcements of the accession of HM The King, The Chairman of New Forest District Council will give the Proclamation at Appletree Court, Lyndhurst on Sunday 11 September 2022, at 2.00pm. Members of the public are invited to attend.


Hale Parish Council will then hold its own announcement of the Proclamation outside Hale Village Hall at 6 pm on Sunday and all parishioners and those from the wider local community are invited to attend.
